"FLYING MONKEY" INTERACTIVE CARD

Hi there!
I was so in loooove with Channin Pelletier video for Waffle Flower Crafts that I had to try it. And then Mama Elephant little monkeys are just the cutest, don't you think?

As you maybe know, I love creating my own patterns with Distress Oxide inks. So I starter making my card coloring the front panel.
I used Heffy Doodle "Candy Storie" stencil with walnut stain Distress Oxide first. I then moved it a little and Blender some antique linen Distress Oxide and I darkened the edges with ground espresso Distress Oxide ink.
I then loosened with water a bit of walnut stain and ground espresso Distress Oxide inks first and a bit of worn lipstick Distress Oxide ink, I splattered them on my panel and let it dry.
I did the same with some Indian Gold Nuvo Mousse.
I stamped all my images from "Little Monkey Agenda" and "Swinging Borders" stamp sets (both by Mama Elephant) Memento black Ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
(- monkey face: TN2-TN1  -monkey body: EB8-EB4-EB3   -leaves: YG3-YG2-YG1 and AG5-AG4-AG3-AG1).

I really enjoyed myself a lot creating this fun interactive card and I think that the "flying" monkeys is super adorable.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have an amazing weekend.
Hugs, Silvia.

"BIRTHDAY MERMAIDEN WISHES" POP-UP CARD

Hello everyone!
Today I've got a very special pop-up card I made for a very special crafty friend to share.
I really enjoyed myself a lot making it.
I started my card stamping all the little mermaids from the "Little Mermaiden Agenda" stamp set by Mama Elephant and colored with alcohol markers.
I then made the background blending together evergreen bough, peacock feather, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch Distress Oxide Inks, while for the sand I used antique linen, vintage photo and ground espresso Distress Oxide Inks.

I also used the "Landscape trio" dies to create my own ocean floor stencil.
I then used Mama Elephant "Inside arch" and "Waves border trio" dies to create the pop-up inserts...I love them sooooo much!!!

I finally added a little panel to write my own birthday message on the back of the card.

I really like how this card came out and I hope you like it too.

Thank you so much for your visit and see you soon.
Hugs, Silvia.

"HAP-PEA BIRTHDAY" INTERACTIVE MINI CARD

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing with you this little peas birthday card I made using the new Lawn Fawn "Center Picture Window Card" dies and the super adorable "Be Hap-pea" stamp set.
I started my card making the backgrounds and so I blended together mowed lawn, shabby shutters, fossilized amber and atique linen Distress Oxide Inks.

I then stamped all the images I needed from the stamp set with Memento black ink and I colored with alcohol markers (I used both Spectrum Noir and Nuvo Markers).

I put all together and….da-dan….I had this super cute mini interactive card in my hands.

I finally  added a little panel  to add a handwritten message on the back of the card.

I'm really so in love with this mini cards 'cause they have a very amazing surprise inside, so I can't stop playing with this incredible dies….and it's also so easy to put everything together!
Well... that's all for today, but I've got a lot of new handmade cards to share with you so….stay tune!
Have an amzing Saturday. Hugs, Silvia.

"LET'S TACO 'BOUT YOUR FIESTA" BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello and happy Friday!
There's a new challenge over the Lawn Fawnatics blog and it's all about party!
So, this is my entry: the card I made for my hubby birthday and inspired by a Mexican Fiesta.

I used a lot of different stamp sets in it and I had a great time coloring all this amazing images.
I started stamping the flag banner from Mama Elephant "Swinging borders" stamp set with Memento black ink directly on the card base and coloring with alcohol markers...I'd like to recreate the papel picado effect.
I then stamped images from some Lawn Fawn stamp sets ("Be Hap-pea" for red hot chili peppers, "Let's toast" for avocados and "Year nine" for tacos) and I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers ( taco GB9-GB7-GB1, red pepper DR4-CR9) and Nuvo markers (avocado 417-416-413-412-410 and 465-464-478).
I hot embossed the sentiment from the "Year nine" stamp set on a die cut banner from the Lawn Fawn "Double slider surprise card" dies and I used Heffy Doodle "Stitched Alphabetters" dies for the word FIESTA (I used Lawn Fawn  vanilla malt and ground coffee cardstocks).

Here there are some close-ups of the card.

I hope you liked it.
Thank you so much for passing by and have a great week-end.
Hugs, Silvia.
