Winter Wishes

Hello my crafty friends! Let's say goodbye to this 2022 with a Winter card featuring some old and new Scrappy Tails Crafts goodies.

I started cutting a base from a peacock cardstock, I embossed it with a folder from my stash and I passed some statue Distress foundry wax.

I then die cut a two hearts from white cardstock with the "Scalloped Heart add-on" die set. I left the scalloped one in white and I ink blended the other with spun sugar, kitsch flamingo and lumberjack plaid Distress Oxide inks and I splattered with clean water and tone on tone inks.

I also die cut a cute snowman from the "Layering Snowman Duo with Christmas Tree" dieset and some other pieces from the "A7 Storefront Gingerbread House add-on" die set and I colored them with alcohol markers.

I put everything together and I stamped a sentiment from the "German Winter Village"  stamp set in red.

Here are some close-ups.

That's all for today! I hope you'll enjoy the card.

I wish you an amazing new year, full of joy, love and colors!

Big hugs, Silvia.

For my box card I started cutting two panels from red cardstock with the biggest die from the "A-7 Modern Embossed Layers" set and I scored the both at 5,5" and   6,75".

I then used the "Santa Mug" die to cut a window in one of the panel. I also die cut two creamy topping from white cardstock and a gingerbread man from kraft cardstock.

For the inside of the card I cut a white panel, I ink blended it with broken china, uncharted mariner and prize ribbon Distress Oxide inks and I splattered with clean water, tone on tone inks and white and bronze acrylic paints.

I decided to create a wintery landscape, so I die cut a white house and some trees with the smallest pieces from the "Snowglobe Card" die set.

"BOO!" HALLOWEEN CARD WITH TIM HOLTZ

Hello there and welcome back to my blog! I have a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Halloween card to share with you today and I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Do you remember this background I post on my Instagram some days ago?

It turned out like this.

I love making Halloween cards and I was so in love with Stacy Hutchinson’s moon background (you can find her tutorial here) that I had to try to redo it.

For the color combo I chose black soot Distress Spray Stain and the burning ember  and harvest moon Distress mica stain by Ranger Ink.

I then created my scene mixing together the “Slimline Spooky Scene Builder” die set by Trinity Stamps and the “Gate Keepers” die by Tim Holtz/Sizzix, I ink blending all the pieces with weathered wood and black soot Distress Oxide inks and I applied on them some Distress grit paste-Crypt.

For the sentiment I used black cardstock, Crypt grit paste and a Hello Bluebird die.

Next I stamped the mummy from Stampers Anonymous “Unraveled“ stamp set, I watercolored it with Zig Clean Color Real brush markers and I fussy cut it.

I put everything together and this is what it came out.

That's all for today. Thank you very much for passing by and I really hope you like this card.
I wish you an amazing day and send you big hugs. Silvia.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello my dear friends! I’m so excited to be here today sharing this card with you.

I was so in love with one of the makes Nichol Sphor made for this Simon Says Stamp Stamptember that I had the idea for this card.

I started die cutting two scalloped panel from white cardstock with Trinity Stamps "A-7 Envelope Builder" die set.

I put one aside and I reduced the other one cutting the scalloped borders off.

I then colored the smallest pannel blending salvaged patina and peacock feathers through Lawn Fawn "Snowflake Background” stencil. I darkened edges with walnut stain Distress Oxide ink and I splattered with tone on tone inks and white and gold Distress paints.

I die cut the adorable snowmen from the Lawn Fawn "Build a Snowman” die set and I colored them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

I also die cut two mugs from different shades of pink textured canvas cardstock with the "Stitched Mug Frame” die set and two white whipped cream with “Stitched Cupcake” die set.

I ink blended the inside of the mugs and the cream with some pink Distress Oxide inks, I darkened with vintage photo Distress Oxide ink and I splattered with white, gold, pink and light blue Distress paints.

I die cut the “Giant Merry Christmas” die set twice from two different shades of  aqua  textured canvas cardstock and I put everything together.

That’s all! I hope you’ll enjoy this card as much as I do.

I wish you a wonderful weekend.

Big hugs, Silvia.
