YOU PUT A SPRING IN MY STEP

 Hello there!

It's so strange being here today talking of Spring, happy things and cardmaking. These last days have been so sad and dramatic and my heart is so heavy. I pray and hope for peace all the time and crafting help me a bit of distraction.

So I'm here today with this mini slimline card featuring some new and old goodies by Trinity Stamps.

I started die cutting a white panel with the biggest die from the "Mini-Slimline Stitched Layers Stack" set and I ink blended it with the "Puffy Cloud" stencil and tumbled glass and broken china Distress Oxide inks.

I also die cut a grassy border and some tiny birds using "The Great Outdoors Borders and Builders" die set and I ink blended it with mawed lawn and lucky clover Distress Oxide inks.

I then stamped images from the "Gnome Bunny" and "I Goat You Babe" stamp sets, I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them.

I put everything together, I added a sentiment from the "Spring in my Step" stamp set and that's all.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I send you big hugs. Peace and love. Silvia.

MIXED MEDIA VALENTINE'S CARD WITH TRINITY STAMPS

Hello crafty friends and happy Valentine's day!

I'd like to share with you a very special card I made for this special occasion using some of the latest Trinity Stamps products.

I started cutting a panel with the "Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack" biggest die and some three heart swirls with the "Slimline Heart Swirl" standalone die from watercolor paper.

I then glued everything together and I covered with a layer of Distress Matte Collage Medium.

Once the medium is dry, I painted the surface with a coats of salvaged patina Distress paint. I then applied some extra salvaged patina  and a bit of antique bronze Distress paint with a small brayer.

When the surface is completely dry I applied another layer of Matte Collage Medium over the top to seal the die cut swirls.

I then scribbled walnut stein Distress crayon over the swirls and I blended it with my fingers. I then redid the same thing with crooked broomstick Distress crayon. I also darkened edges a bit.

I used the "Simply Sentimental - Love" coordinating dies to cut a sentiment from white, pink and red cardstock and I glue on my panel with some pink and red little hearts (you can find them here and here).

That's all. I hope you like it as much as I do. You know, it was my first time playing with Matte Collage Medium and I had so much fun with it.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I wish you an amazing and super sweet Valentine's day. Big hugs,Silvia.

For this special occasion I decided to create a scene starting from the beautiful "Tree of Love Cover Plate" die set.

I started die cutting a white panel with the "Snow Flurry Cover" die and I ink blended it with broken china, prize ribbon and villainous potion Distress Oxide inks for the sky and lucky clover and rustic wilderness Distress Oxide inks for the grass. I added some texture on it splattering clean water and tone on tone inks (loosened with water).

I then die cut the tree cover plate from white cardstock and I colored it with Spectrum Noir Triblend Brush markers. I used the following blends: dark reds, pale pink and pink violet for the leaves and earth brown for the tree. To color the frame I used AP3 and AP1 Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers.

I stamped images from "Stinkin' Cute", "Jumping With Joy" and "Fairy Garden" stamp sets, I colored them with alcohol markers and I cut them with coordinating dies.

I chose one of the sentiments from the "Brighter Days Sentiment Cards - white on black", I put everything together and that's all.

TURNER SYNDROME AWARENESS CARD AUCTION

Hello dear friends and welcome back to my blog.

Today I'm here to show you the cards I made for the Turner Syndrome Awareness Card Auction that starts today.

Let me introduce the auction first.

"Welcome to the Turner Syndrome Awareness Card Auction!  This is a collaborative Card Auction for the benefit of the Turner Syndrome Foundation, which operates solely on donations.  With Covid the last couple of years have been very difficult for the Turner Syndrome Foundation since most of their big fundraisers are held as "in-person" events and the pandemic has put all of that on hold.  The TS Foundation provides support, guidance and educational programs for families impacted bymar Turner Syndrome.  TS is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing part or all of her second X chromosome leaving her with lifelong medical issues and learning disabilities.

The very talented Card Designers who have donated their amazing cards are from all over the world and work on Design Teams for various crafting companies that sell dies, stamps and other card making supplies.  They are the most generous and caring people I know!  They have poured lots of love into each of their creations!

If you see a card that you love, please bid with your heart!

Here is a link to the Turner Syndrome Foundation if you would like to learn more about TS:  https://turnersyndromefoundation.org/ "

I made two cards for this auction and I you can find them with a lot of other so beautiful cards here. I hope you'll like them.

Thank you so much for passing by today.

I wish you an amazing day. Big hugs, Silvia.
