FRIENDSHIP CARD WITH SCRAPPY TAILS CRAFTS

 Hello there!

I'm so excited to share with you this card I made with some of the latest dies by Scrappy Tails Crafts! It's one of the first time I colored some die cut pieces with alcohol markers and I really love how they turned out!

I started cutting a white 5,5"x4,25" and I ink blended it in the center with a soft touch of squeezze lemonade Distress Oxide ink.

I then die cut some flowers and pots from the beautiful "Potted Floral" metal craft die and I colored them with Spectrum noir alcohol markers.

I glued them on my card base and I splttered with white and gold Distress paints.

I stamped one of the sentiment from the "Flower Shop" stamp set in black ink and that's all.

Thank you so much for stopping by today....I hope you enjoy the card.
I wish you an amazing day. Big hugs, Silvia.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAWSOME STAMPS!

Hello my friends and happy Saturday! It's time to celebrate the first birthday of an amazing brand that you know and love.....Pawsome Stamps!!!!

Today I'm here to tell you everything about the card I made for the IG Hop and featuring the super cool "Sangria Time" stamp set.

For my card I was inspired by the amazing TJ Card Designs….I really love her style!!!!

I started by cutting a piece of Distress Kraft Heavystock cardstock, I dry embossed it with Tim Holtz "Quilted" 3-D embossing folder and I torn edges with scissors. I then darkened edges with ground espresso Distress Oxide ink and I splattered with picket fence, antique bronze, saltwater taffy and salvaged patina Distress paints.

I stamped images on the same kraft cardstock, I heat embossed in dark brown using "Hot Chocolate" Nuvo embossing powder and I watercolor them with a mix of Distress Oxide sprays and Distress Spray Stains.

I put everything together using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and I matted it with a lighter kraft carstock (this time I used a Lawn Fawn one).

I added my favorite sentiment from the stamp (heat embossed in dark brown too) and that's all.
I'm so happy of how this card turned out and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Thank you for passing by and having an amazing weekend. Big hugs, Silvia.

LAWN FAWNATICS "DIES ONLY" CHALLENGE

 Hello my sweet friends!

Today I'd like to share with you the cards I made to take my chance over the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge called "Dies Only".

So I die cut some hibiscus flower and leaves with the "Happy Hibiscus" and "Tropical Leaves" die sets, I colored them with Distress Oxide inks and I splattered with tone on tone inks and white and gold Distress paints.

I blended saltwater taffy, abandoned coral and aged mahogany Distress Oxide inks for the darker flowers and kitsch flamingo and spun sugar Distress Oxide inks for the others.

To color the leaves I used several Distress Oxide combos as mowed lawn and rustic wilderness, bundle sage and lucky clover and twisted citron and moweed lawn.

Then I moved to my backgrounds and I was inspired by one made by Joy Baldwin from "Create with Joy" that you can find here.

I cut two 5,5"x4,25" panel from white cardstock and I inked them swiping my Distress Oxide ink pads directly on them.

For the yellow one I used fossilized amber in the center and squeeze lemonade on both side.

For the purple one I used villainous potion and wilted violet in the center and milled lavander on both side.

I then decided to leave the yellow background as it was. I glued leaves and flowers on it using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape  and I added a dark brown die cuts "hugs" script from the  "Long Distance Hugs” die set.

Here are some close-ups.

The purple background was a bit too shocking, so I first splattered it with clean water  and then with tone on tone inks and white and silver Distress paints. I put the flowers on it  and I added a rose gold "aloha" script that I die cut with the "Scripty Aloha” die set.

I really enjoy how these two cards turned out and I'm so in love with these backgrounds that I'll make some more for sure.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Big hugs, Silvia.
